Well I made it through the day!

And my kitchen is even clean. I can not believe it.
Well I cooked dinner for My dad and and my family here tonight. Not only was it the first Thanksgiving that we spent in our home as a family but the first thanksgiving in a long time that I was able to spend it with my dad. The boys really like him. I think it is because he makes them laugh. Quentin warmed up fast and was snuggling in no time. Yes they were watching sports what else. We had a nice day and night but yes I am glad it is over and I am super happy that I was able to clean my kitchen.
Who is going shopping? not me but my honey is he is waking up at 4am to be at best buy and that is the only store we are hitting. Hope you all are safe in your shopping. I also hope you enjoy the left overs.:)
Dad thanks again for deciding to spend the day with us today it meant alot to me. hope you enjoy the pie and the left overs.
In case you guys are wondering Quentin's arm is doing really good. I think he is about done with the bandage though.

I think this a great pic the first one we have of him with his grandsons. aahhhh! how sweet is that. :) :)

Please read the post before the pics!

This is my our brave little man! His name is Quentin. He could not of been any braver last night!

O.k I think I might just be the worst mom ever. Last night while cooking the boys were in the kitchen with me and it was time for them to eat. I picked up Zachary and began putting him in his highchair and in the same instant and I mean instant, Quentin fell on the broiler drawer. It was not on and therefore not hot. He smashed his arm. He started crying so I picked him up and then put him in his highchair to eat. He stated eating and every once in awhile would cry but nothing bad I assumed it was the shots that he had gotten at the doc a few hours earlier.
THEN, he started to rub his eye with his right hand and that is when I saw the most terriffying thing ever! His armed had been burned and there where huge blisters. I started to yell for steve and I paniced. I have prided myself in the past 8 years of being a mom none of my children have ever had a scuffed head, broken bone, or any other injury for that matter. But that has all changed now.
After arriving at the E.R. and crying hysterically to the doctor and nurses they fixed him up. They popped the blisters and bandaged him up and I have to change them every day with ointment and gauze.
HOW DID HE GET BURN YOU ASK LET ME TELL YOU!
When the door slammed his arm it pushed his arm up on the hot (400 degrees to be precise) oven floor and pinned his arm against it.
HOW IS HE NOW AND HOW DID HE HANDLE IT HEATHER? IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN ASKED.
He flirted with the nurses, he sang and danced and after the popping which was painless he clapped his hands. My brave little soldier.
THE MOST COMFORTING PART OF THE NIGHT!
After crying and sobbing and being a basket case a lady sat with me and told me some of her twins horror stories which made me feel so much better. She told me one of her boys also got 2nd degree burns by grabing her curling iron and that she broke one of thier hands by slamming them in a car door and how one of them drank a whole bottle of tylonol. WOW! not felling so bad anymore. But like auntie Lisa said this is the first of many trips to the E.R. with these boys you see we have two older kids but they are girls not so crazy and we are not used to this kind of stuff.

AAARRRGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!

In case you guys were wondering it is respitory season. which = HELL for me. Our twins were born three months early and as a result have asthma and allergies. The wind and is a huge problem and for some reason the months Oct - Apr are resp/ season. Guess what it is November and very windy so here are a few things I have to do for them 1. wipe wipe wipe wipe! Klenex anybody. 2. lysol lysol lysol wipes for furniture and dusting and spray for everything else and the rest are pictured below. come with me and I will explain.

3. Dimetapp. This is given every 8 hours to both babies to help with coughing and nose and my sanity.
4. Nasonex this is to dry the sinus and given once a day to both babies.
5. Thier breathing machine. .....
6. albutrol. given every 4 hours to both or as needed for breathing.
7. Plumicort. this is given 2 times a day to both babies. it is an inhaled steriod to help the lungs grow strong and to open up. never entering the blood stream :) When it is not the season it can be given as little as every other day once a day. but this time of year is hard.
The doctors say it will not be this bad next year because after the age of two they become stronger but we will always have allergies. Do not get me wrong i still love this time of the year I just feel for my babies, or anybody with allergies. I really hope the winds go away soon and the cool weather returns. today it is in the 90's and really windy. well I have typed this whole thing one handed and I need to rest and continue to play the ref. between the boys they are cranky and fighting. :0

Something has been on my mind!

A few weeks ago I was watching Oprah and Leanardo Dicaprio was on there. He was there to discuss our world and our invirorment. AAARRRGGG!!!!!!! We are all terrible people. He spit out a lot of statistics that shocked the crap out of me!!!!! :O Did you know that if everybody in the U.S. changed 5 of their most used lightbulbs to one of the energy bulbs pictured below we would save over billions of gallons of oil a MONTH! They last for up to 5 years so it is also saving money. So why not try it? Most of us have three trash can at our home to separate our trash recycable, food and green. I was a culprit of just throwing it all away in the brown trash one. Until I watched this Oprah now I separate I have two small trash can in my house and I start in there. Recycle people if your town provides the bins at your house how hard is it. Your next car buy a hybrid. I can not remember but if 8 out of a hundred cars were Hybrids we would save 100s of billions of gallons of gas a month. I know it is hard to go buy a new car if it was easy then I would do it tomorrow.
Anyways Sunday at church our sermon was about protecting gods earth. And now it is really on my mind.!!!. Did you know that a mini van is more fuel effienct then a svu both holding the same amount of passengers. So bite your tongue and drive the mini van. I have since the age of 23. Well below are pics of our poor ozone layer and the light bulbs and a reminder to recycle and also a little humor and if you click on Leo's name you will go to his site with ideas on how to conserve. :)
I hope I did not bore you but I would like a beautiful world to live in and for my grand kids to live in. Here is something to think about when you leave.

The Lord God placed the Man in the Garden of Eden to tend and care for it. Genesis 2:15

In September 2000 the hole in the ozone layer was three times as big as the USA.

Well I think we might of decided! :O

Well this is our local Elks Lodge. They have offered us a great deal and everything will be in the same place. Now I need to come up with $400 to hold our date. The good thing about that is the money will be given back one week after the wedding, it is like a security deposit. So does anybody know of a local money tree.LOL! The chapel is huge and so is the reception hall the people are fantastic. Today I called lots of other places and this is the cheapest. I might be able to save on the catering and deco if I shop around and do alot of the stuff myself.
I am going to do my own centerpeices and make my favors. that will help a lot. I also would like to buy my fack flowers for the center peices this year when they all go on sale. My colors are going to be black and fall colors to bunch of that so the day after thanksgiving sales should be a killer for us.
The hall offers alot of deco for free that I plan on using and candle that are included. I need a D.J and a photographer which I might have found a good deal on. I have started saving some of the money I am making while I babysit and I almost have enough for one of the girls dresses. My goal is to save enough for all three of our dresses over and above our budget. Hey maybe I will have a yard sale soon and put that in my savings for our dresses. I am a geniuss! I think I can do it. :) So if any of you readers have good money saving ideas PLEASE let me know.
Wish me luck with my planning. We also will be planning my brothers wedding this year he is getting married in June we are going to be busy busy busy.

How do you explain this!

How do you explain this kind of stuff to your 6 year old. Last night while trick or treating My daughter was telling us that a boy in her class was killed while riding his bike. I asked her teacher and it is true. This little boy was in her class I went to the local newspaper web site to find the article and below is what I found. Yes it is a good time to talk about drugs and alcohol being bad but still he was her friend. She said he always made her laugh and all the kids liked him. She told me she was sad because he was 6 and so is she. The one thing I find extremely IRONIC is that this all happened the day before Red Ribbon week started. My heart is broken for his mother and hope that she can some find a way to cope with all of this.

Boy, 6, dies after being run over, police say

02:14 AM PDT on Monday, October 17, 2005

The Press-Enterprise

RIVERSIDE - A 6-year-old Riverside boy died Sunday afternoon when he was run over by his father outside their home, Riverside police said.

Police arrested the father, Nathaniel Wade Porter, 43, after a preliminary investigation at the scene, police said.

Porter was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs causing injury and violating parole. He is being held in lieu of $75,000, officials said.

Ronnie Nathaniel Porter, 6, died 30 minutes after the accident at Riverside Community Hospital.

Emergency personnel were called to the 3700 block of Verde Street at 1:53 p.m. Sunday.

A witness told police Porter's son was riding his bike in front of the house when Porter drove into the driveway. Porter accelerated as he entered the driveway, drove over the curb, hit his son then rammed the car into the garage, police said.

Happy Halloween!!

The kids scored last night with candy. We left at 6 and returned at 7:30 and they were over flowing. The little girl next door Emmy's best friend went with us and they all had fun. The boys got really fussy towards the end but they were so tired. I hope everybody had a great Halloween and I cannot eait to see everybody elses pics.
